The introduction of the EasyAG series from Sentek has given soil moisture monitoring a significant boost:

- On the one hand because EasyAG Sensors are, thanks to their slim design, very fast and easy to install, and eliminate the need for the time-consuming augering job required by the bigger sensors.

- On the other hand the EasyAG products are significantly more attractive in price than their big brothers from the EnviroSMART Series of products.

Both sensors measure soil moisture by sending an electromagnetic signal through sensors mounted in preset depths. Soil moisture is derived from the resulting measurement of the soils conductivity. On top of that the TriSCAN sensors can also determine soil salinity. Currently the algorithms are available for light and sandy soils, while those for heavier soils are still under development.                                         Technical Data
