The A740 addNODE was built around the requests from industrial users like drinking water suppliers, waste water treatment companies, as well as the demands of hydrographical institutions and meteorologists A740 addNODE offers superior flexibility: based on Adcon's low power technology and its proven 500mW radio module, the A740 features great expandability, individually configurable I/O ports, event triggered action, analog and digital outputs, plenty of memory and upgradability for new futures. Using Adcon's communication protocol it is fully compatible to other Adcon RTU's. Technical Specifications
It's robust yet compact aluminum case with integrated DIN mounting rail can easily be installed in existing cabinets. Detachable cage clamps accept wires up to 0.5² mm. While in most cases the A740 addNODE will be powered by the equipment it is supposed to monitor, it can still be powered using a standard solar panel. The internal battery pack assures that the A740 will reliably report back to base even if mains power fails, that vital other data can still be collected and transmitted for as long as the internal battery of the unit lasts.
Expandable
In situations where a large number of I/O ports is required clients can attach up to three A509 addPORT expansion boxes to their A740 addNODE. This will then provide them with a total of 50 I/O ports.
Easy Installation for many applications
Radio communication is established via the integrated 70cm band radio module. The A740 is licensed for an output power of 500mW e.r.p. at the antenna connector. This makes it easy to install the unit inside an industrial facility, a manhole, a pumping station, control cabinet or the like, and to connect an external antenna using a low attenuation RG-58 extension cable with TNC connectors.
Applications
Typical Applications for the A740 addNODE are water and waste water applications, where pumps and valves need to be controlled, in situ sensors need to be remotely read, some local action has to be triggered, event driven, sometimes even without operator interference. A typical example are rainfall discharge basins, were sampling rates can automatically be increased dramatically, if a discharge event occurs.
Meteorologists use the A740 addNODE as the core of high-end weather stations, but also to upgrade existing, purely logger based systems, to a telemetry unit that can be integrated into an existing network.
